Flowers in a pot with lanterns

This painting made me very happy during a dark and somber time in the world. I did not compose a pot of flowers, but I was inspired by something similar in one of the Dutch museums (I believe the Singer Museum). So I painted this purely from memory. The flowers and the pot are fictional. Only the orange lanterns were real; they were in a bouquet I had received as a gift. I chose warm colors as a counterweight to the icy November cold.
