Goverdina Maria Art

I have worked with people my entire life, physical and psychological,  specialised  in identity trauma. At seventy, I started painting, using oil and acrylic paints. I have no formal training, but I have taken various drawing and painting courses at the Gooise Academy for Visual Arts in Laren. It seems I can only sign my work with my birth name: Goverdina Maria. In my work, I try to express the essence of what I see and what moves me. I love bright colors; perhaps that is why I call myself an expressive essentialist.
