In early October 2025, I followed in the footsteps of Paul Cézanne (1839-1906). I spent a few days in Aix-en-Provence, and naturally, I visited all the important places where this great painter lived and worked. And, of course, the special exhibition at the Granet Museum. From the Bibémus quarry, I took a beautiful photo of Mount Sainte-Victoire, which Cézanne painted so frequently. I returned home very inspired. Hence my tribute to this beautiful mountain, and to Cézanne.
Funny detail: there is a cross on the mountain, even in Cézanne’s day, but he refused to paint it.
